ARB RD-161 Air Locking Differential

The truth is most 4WDs send power to the wheels with the least amount of traction when difficult terrain is encountered.

This occurs because your vehicle's standard (or open) differential is designed to allow each wheel to turn independently, thus eliminating binding during cornering.
Unfortunately, an open differential means that when one or more of your vehicle's wheels loses traction - when you're caught on slippery rocks for instance - a standard differential directs all power to those spinning wheels, and momentum is lost.
ARB locking differentials allow the driver to control traction by locking the driveshafts in the axle together, meaning you can driver further and avoid trouble.
RD161 (prevoiusly RD20) - To fit Land Rover Salisbury type axles fitted to coil sprung vehicles, (e.g Land Rover 110)
